Beyonce was nominated for 9 Grammy’s, while Adele scored 5. Of all the 9, Beyonce won only 2 while Adele prevailed in all her categories.

But what shocked folks was Adele’s win of Album of the Year because it was believed that Beyonce had the best album of 2016. A fact Adele agrees to. So it was quite adorable to watch Adele refuse to fully acknowledge her win of that catgory, instead choosing to acknowledge Bey’s and the impact it had.
